Dallice Tylee donates 5% of the gross commission earned on any real estate transaction, to THE ACORN FUND
If you have bought or sold property this year, with Dallice Tylee as your buyer or listing agent, your transaction generated a commission paid to Silver Fern Homes. 5% of that amount will be donated into THE ACORN FUND.
What is THE ACORN FUND?
THE ACORN FUND is a donor advised fund held by The Community Foundation of Boulder County.
The Community Foundation is the recognized leader in preparing Boulder County for its future challenges, expanding the culture of giving, and galvanizing diverse resources to improve the quality of life for all. It exists to improve the quality of life in Boulder County, now and forever, and to build a culture of giving.
Dallice has been a volunteer/ambassador of the Community Foundation for many years and appreciates the level of research and analysis the Foundation does in order to pinpoint our communities needs, then fund and support the non-profits that are meeting those needs. Together we can solve the real issues in our community!
Dallice started THE ACORN FUND in 2015 to replace the existing Pay It Forward program, to implement a more strategic and efficient way to give back.
THE ACORN FUND will function with a GIVE, GROW, GRANT mentality.
GIVE
Anyone can donate into the fund. It’s as simple as sending a check to The Community Foundation @ 1123 Spruce Street, Boulder CO 80302. Make the check payable to The Community Foundation and put THE ACORN FUND in the memo line. This is a tax deductible donation and you will receive the appropriate paperwork. GROW
THE ACORN FUND assets are invested and professionally managed for tax-free growth. Dallice will continue to donate 5% of every closing to the fund, but that’s just the beginning. This fund will continue to support non-profits long into the future, making grants from the growth of the fund for decades to come.
GRANT
This is the fun part! When THE ACORN FUND reaches $25,000 it becomes eligible to make grants from it to our favorite charities – inside or outside Boulder County. Right now THE ACORN FUND is 40% of the way there and I expect that by 2017 grants will be a reality, but with your help, that could be sooner!
