Realtor Range : Where do I work with CO Buyers and Sellers?

What is my Realtor range?  What area can I and do I assist real estate buyers and sellers?

Yesterday I got a call from a past client. He wondered if I would consider working with him since this time around, he was looking a little further from Boulder County and didn’t know if that was within my Realtor range. Lakewood to be more precise.  (I was delighted he called and of course would love to work with him again!)

This was my third sign from the universe though… Until the last couple of weeks, it never occurred to me that my friends, colleagues and clients were unsure of my range. But it makes sense people don’t officially know… Since I haven’t officially told them!

I have been working as a full-time real estate broker in Colorado since 2005.

I live in Boulder and have done for almost 10 years,  but I work and play all over the place!  As you might suspect, my clients often become my friends. This means I find myself in Denver, Longmont, the mountains and everywhere in between, quite a bit. Although most of my work is in Boulder County.

I am proud to say that more than 90% of my business is referral and repeat and honestly, I will go out of my way to work with these folks… quite literally out of my way!  Besides, what is not to love about the excuse to head into Denver, meet over lunch on Larimer Square, then show houses and condos under a beautiful blue Colorado sky?  Or winding your way up a scenic canyon, taking in wildflowers and a cool mountain breeze?

It’s healthy to get out of Boulder and extend one’s Realtor range sometimes! 🙂

I digress.  After  not one but two conversations with Realtor friends (yes, many of my closest friends are Realtors too) it seemed we were all realizing that letting people know our Realtor range for work would be beneficial. On suggestion from one of those friends, I put together a wee map of closed deals. It gave me a good overview of my business and hopefully it will let you know my Realtor range too.

So yes, when you call me or email me to ask if I’d like to work with you, this is how it will go:

I will ask you my standard “interview questions”.  We’ll determine your motivation for buying/selling, what area you need assistance in, whether you need a referral to a lender, what your time frame is and who the decision makers are.  After gathering preliminary information, I can best determine what is needed in a Realtor and how I can best serve you.

I’ll be honest. If the area is unfamiliar to me and I have no access to the data needed to gain expertise, I’m not the best person for the job.  I am however, probably still the best person to find you a good Realtor in that area. I know what to look for as far as experience and qualifications go and I network with other Realtor’s a lot.  I’m more than happy to interview  a few Realtor’s on your behalf and find a good fit… someone we can both trust to provide you with the data, level of service and availability that you deserve.  That’s what it means to put your best interests ahead of my own! 🙂
