“For Sale By Neighbor”…Not For Sale By Owner
Not entirely unlike For Sale by Owner, except for the questionable right to sell at all!
There are days when I wish I was not so “connected”. Days I wonder what it would be like if I let the phone just ring or had never developed that urge to share my inner monologue on Facebook. More often, I’m glad my phone rings. It’s the way I get real estate and property management business and most of the time, friends too!
I also have to recognize that hardly a day goes by when I am not grateful I have a camera in hand. On a daily basis that is usually my cellphone camera, but my digital SLR is never far away either and call me a dinosaur if you like, but I still love this 6 year old device. It has served me well with tens of thousands of memories captured! Exploring new places is right up there on my list of favorite things to do. Nothing is better than finding real estate related “pictures of interest” during my trips outside of Colorado. And I had to share this one with you:
I suspect the same little sense of humor was also responsible for this sign:

By the way, if you are considering doing a “for sale by owner” or FSBO in the Boulder County area, feel free to call me and pick my brain. Yes, it’s still a sellers market, but there are some things you probably ought to know in order to improve your chances of success and maximize your sales price. Pricing, marketing and negotiation are just the tip of the iceberg. Colorado contracts are not intuitive but used right, they are your protection from loss and liability during the sales transaction.
Good decisions are informed decisions. Meaning, you need information. Don’t short-change yourself.
