Boulder Valley School District and Real Estate go together… Ask any Buyer or Seller
Boulder Valley School District has a good reputation and when it comes to thinking long term about your needs when buying a home in the Boulder area, schools should always be on the list – whether or not you have kids or plan on having kids. Bear with me guys, this is not a conversation about whether you are ready for kids or not… Its about identifying features in a home and location that are desirable. School research is part of the due diligence you should be doing when selecting the location of your new home. So is determining who your buyer competition is!
For example: If you are looking in the Table Mesa area, rest assured that the other buyers vying for the house of your dreams may be driven to acquire a home that zones their child for Bear Creek Elementary School. And when I say driven… I mean driven. Be prepared to compete!
As a buyer you should always have an eye for resale value too.. One day you will be a seller and the investment you made in a home that is well located for schools, will pay you back handsomely. (Keep this in mind when renovating too. Eliminating kids bedrooms, especially on the same floor as parent bedrooms, is inconsistent with the buyer pool who might be targeting your area, just FYI.)
Do the buyers of your home have kids (or want to)? Is your home zoned for schools with great reputations? Do small kids need to cross big roads to get to school? Your potential buyers are thinking about these things. You need to provide them with all info they need to choose your home! Show them where the schools are located. Point them in the direction of unbiased websites for school rankings. Don’t underestimate how important Boulder Valley School District info is to a buyer.
Here are a couple of websites that I often refer to:
When I have a buyer who’s kids need to be at a certain school, I verify the schools listed in the MLS are correct… We’re not messing around here!
